Race Requirements

INSURANCE: All competitors must have a USA Triathlon License to compete in events sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Single day licenses will be available for athletes to purchase at packet pickup for $10. Annual Memberships are available from USAT for $30. USAT annual members must present their valid membership card at packet pickup.

USA Triathlon/Duathlon Rules Enforced

All USAT Rules will be enforced by USAT officials. Use the USA Triathlon button on the left to visit USAT's website for a complete list of rules.

Awards - Elite wave overall ($$)

Cash awards will be awarded to the top FIVE male and female finishers as well as masters winners. To be eligible for cash awards, you must start in the Elite wave. Breakdown will be as follows (same amount for male and female divisions):

    1st: $700
    2nd: $400
    3rd: $300
    4th: $250
    5th: $200
    1st Master: $150
If a master places in the top 5 overall, he/she will not be eligible for both cash prizes.
Elite wave participants will not be eligible for Age Group awards and will not be eligible for World Duathlon Championship slots.

Awards - Age Groups

Age Group awards (traditional Apple Duathlon apples) go to top 3 in each age group. Groups are designated as follows:

    19 & under; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49;
    50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70+;

    (Age group participants will not be eligible for prize money)

Race day awards will not be mailed out. If you are not able to attend awards ceremony please arrange for someone to pickup your award.

T-Shirts

Long sleeve dry fit T-Shirts are included with registration and guaranteed to all athletes that pre-register by May 1st.

 

Packet Pickup and Race Day Schedule

Participants may pick up their packets on race day ONLY.  Packet Pickup is located in the lunchroom of the Sartell Middle School.  There is no packet pickup the day before the race.  The school grounds - including Packet Pickup and the Transition area - open at 6:30AM on race day.  Packet Pickup closes at 8:00AM, which is 30 minutes before the start of the first wave.  All athletes must have their bike in the transition area and be ready to race before the start of the first wave - 8:30AM.

Driving Directions

From Minneapolis on I-94, take Highway 15 exit, through St. Cloud to County Road 1 (before 'Bridge of Hope' Mississippi river crossing). Take left on County Road 1 toward Sartell, go for approx. 2.5 miles to 7th Street. Take left on 7th street and Middle school will be on your left. Relay

Two Person teams can sign up for this event. The same USAT insurance requirements apply to the relay participants. Teams consist of one runner and one cyclist. Award categories are Female-Female, Male-Male, or Male-Female.
